Albion Rovers boss Paul Martin looks set to give former Dumbarton teenager Liam Mushet a chance to shine when his side take on Queen’s Park in a pre-season friendly at Largs.
The 18 year old six foot two inch centre back has been undertaking pre-season training with the Coatbridge men and featured as a substitute in their 3-1 win over East Stirling in midweek.
It looks like Mushet, who had a spell on loan at Cumbernauld Juniors last season, will get the chance to endorse his chances of a longer stay with Martin saying, “Both Todd Lumsden and Michael O’Byrne are unlikely to feature in this game so it will be an opportunity for Liam to show me what he can do against a side that has good strikers.”
