Celtic William Hill Premiership

Nancy named Celtic boss

French coach joins from Columbus Crew

Wilfried Nancy has been confirmed as the new manager of Celtic on a two-and-a-half year contract.

The French coach joins the reigning William Hill Premiership champions from Major League Soccer side, Columbus Crew.

Nancy, 48, gained his first managerial role with CF Montreal in 2021 before moving to Columbus in 2022.

He led the Crew to the MLS Cup title in 2023 and was named MLS Coach of the Year in 2024 after setting a club-record points total.

Nancy replaces Brendan Rodgers, who resigned on October 27 with Martin O'Neill and Shaun Maloney taking temporary charge.

His first match in charge of the club will be against Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park on Sunday, December 7.
