Stranraer manager Stephen Aitken is remaining upbeat despite his promotion-chasing side losing their last three matches.
He said: “We lost 1-0 to Forfar on Saturday after heavy defeats from Ayr and Forfar again but we looked a lot more like ourselves at the weekend.
“We gave the players the night off from training last Thursday after a really demanding schedule and we saw the benefit at Station Park. We have our first week without a midweek game in five weeks and that will help as well.
“We cannot be too downbeat. If we were offered third place with seven games to go at the start of the season we would have taken it. We have had a terrific season and we just need to finish things off now.”
