Queen of the South fans will get the chance to own a piece of Palmerston Park history at the end of the season by purchasing a square yard of turf from the pitch of the Second Division champions.
An artificial surface will be in place in time for the Doonhamer’s campaign in the First Division and fans can organise their own piece of history for £10 by contacting the club.
There is also an on-line auction for seven unique pieces of turf with the four corner spots, two penalty spots and the yard of turf where Ryan McCann scored from 84 yards out in a Scottish Cup tie against Dundee in 2008 all going under the hammer.
