St. Mirren William Hill Premiership

Past grounds - Love Street

Love Street was home to St Mirren from 1894 until 2009

The ground's record attendance of 47,438 was set in 1949 for a League Cup tie against Celtic and floodlights were added 10 years later.

The 3,000-seater Caledonia Stand behind the goal was opened in 1995 and offered an impressive view of proceedings.

Love Street hosted European football on a number of occasions and Saints also won the Anglo-Scottish Cup during their time there. They were second-tier champions in 1967/68, 1976/77 (under Alex Ferguson), 1999/00 and 2005/06.

The last match played at Love Street was a 0-0 draw against Motherwell in January 2009, watched by just over 10,000 fans.

At the end of that month St Mirren moved into their new 8,000 all-seater stadium on Greenhill Road, with Kilmarnock their first opponents.
