Rangers William Hill Premiership

Philippe Clement becomes Rangers manager

The Belgian coach has started work with the cinch Premiership side

Philippe Clement has started work as Rangers manager following his appointment on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The Belgian coach, who experienced success in his homeland with Genk and Club Brugge, will take charge of the Ibrox side for the first time this Saturday (October 21) when they host Hibernian at Ibrox.

Clement told Rangers' website:  “I want to win everything in everything I do, so that is the mentality I want to give my players and I want to convince them also about their own qualities because I see there is more quality in this team than they are showing at the moment.

“It is important to have confidence, it is important to believe in yourself, but the most important thing is hard work. There are no easy things, nobody wins in an easy way.

“It is a competitive sport, it is a sport where you need a lot of discipline, you need a lot of hard work daily. I look at the wall here and all the titles that the club has won in several competitions. Those are the things I love because I am a winner and I want to win trophies."
