St. Mirren defender Dominic Kennedy is hoping that the experience he gained whilst out on loan at promoted Dumbarton this season will make it easier for him to find a new club after he was advised that he was not being offered a new deal at Paisley.
The 20-year-old gained senior experience in a season long loan spell with the Sons where he played in 10 games including the Play-Offs against Arbroath and Airdrie.
Kennedy said, “Being out on loan has certainly helped me as I have learned a lot more about the physical side of the game. It has certainly helped my development and I am hoping that makes me more attractive to other clubs.”
