St Mirren kid Frankie Owens is hoping that having been groomed in the game since he was 11 years old will see him find a new club after being told he was getting released by the Paisley side.
Central midfielder Owens, who scored 4 times in Reserve games last season, was with Rangers for 6 years before accepting a full time position with the Saints last season and he is hoping to get back into the game quickly.
The 18 year old said, “I have gained a lot of experience during my time at Rangers and St Mirren and hopefully that will make me attractive to other clubs. I would love to stay in the game full time after enjoying my first year as a professional.”
