International striker looks for new club

Northern Ireland internationalist Andy Kirk has thanked former Hearts team-mate Paul Hartley for allowing him to keep fit after he was made redundant by Dunfermline.

Andy KirkKirk has been training with Hartley’s Alloa squad after being released at the end of March and the 33-year-old is hoping that his training time with the Wasps will help him find a new club for next season.

The former Glentoran, Hearts, Boston United, Northampton Town and Yeovil Town front man joined the Pars in 2008 and played in more than 150 games, scoring more than 50 goals and he is now looking to get tied up for the new campaign.

Kirk said: “It was good of Paul to let me come in and train. It has helped me keep in shape so I will be in good condition for pre-season.”

“I have spent a good bit of my career in Scotland and want to keep playing here.”
