Goalscoring midfielder David Sinclair went private to have his ankle injury assessed and was delighted to learn that he does not require surgery.
The 22-year-old product of the Livingston Youth Academy scored 10 times for Ayr United last season before his ankle problem cut short his season and just a few months after a trail with Birmingham City he is now without a club.
Sinclair said: “Things were going great for me last season until that knock but now I have nothing in place for next season. Ayr have asked me to come back in for pre-season training and prove my fitness and that was good of them but if possible I would like another crack at the First Division.”
“Now that I know that I do not need surgery I can show clubs what I can do.”
