Hibernian Premier Sports Cup

Premier Sports Cup Semi-Final Key Players - Hibernian

Ahead of Sunday's clash with Rangers, we take a look at who could hold the keys to semi-final success for the Hibees!

Matt Macey
The 6 foot 7 inch keeper had big gloves to fill following the departure of Israeli number 1 Ofir Marciano. Arriving from Arsenal at the start of the year, he has played every minute of the season so far for Hibernian, keeping four clean sheets in the process. Jack Ross will need his keeper in top form to seal a Premier Sports Cup final spot.

Martin Boyle
The Aussie international (from Aberdeen) has been on fire for Hibernian this season. A key part of Hibernian’s attack, he has netted seven times in the league, and once so far in the Premier Sports Cup. Blessed with electric pace and fine dribbling ability, Boyle is a handful for any defence. Hibs’ number 10 netted in four consecutive league games to start the season.

Kevin Nisbet
While the Hibernian front man has yet to catch alight in front of goal this season, Nisbet remains a danger in the box. Netting 14 league goals last year, 18 in the Championship the season previously, and an incredible 29 in League 1 for Raith Rovers, he’s a man who knows how to find the back of the net. Sunday could be the perfect moment for the Scotland international to kick-start his season.
