GK – Max Stryjek (Livingston)
The Lions were unable to breach Raith’s defence within the 90 minutes of their tie at the Tony Macaroni Arena but a pair of saves from their Polish shot-stopper clinched a bonus point for the home side in the shoot-out.
DEF – Jordan Houston (Ayr United)
David Hopkin’s side picked up an eye-catching victory away to fellow Championship side Hamilton Accies. Houston was a stand-out for the Honest Men, impressing in both his attacking and defensive duties from right-back.
DEF – Alex Iacovitti (Ross County)
The Staggies found it tough to break through the Brora defence on Wednesday night. Iacovitti’s second-half header proved to be the decisive goal, and the defender also helped to ensure that nothing went in at the other end.
DEF – Charlie Mulgrew (Dundee United)
Mulgrew helped to marshal the defence and keep things tight at the back as the Terrors continued their 100% start to the season with a 1-0 win over East Fife at Bayview.
MID – Blair Yule (Cove Rangers)
Deployed in a more defensive role on the right flank, Yule was typically impressive at both ends of the park. He popped up with the Cove's third goal on a night where they defeated Championship side Caley Thistle 3-1.
MID – Rhys McCabe (Airdrieonians)
WHAT. A. HIT. The Diamonds midfielder had a great game and scored a Goal of the Group Stage contender, bending a second-half free kick right into the top corner as Airdrie took the Lanarkshire derby bragging rights against rivals Motherwell.
MID – Finlay Pollock (Heart of Midlothian)
The 17-year-old looks right at home in this Hearts side. He impressed yet again when he came off the bench in the Jambos’ 2-0 win over Stirling Albion, scoring his first professional goal in the 74th minute of the game.
MID – Ethan Erhahon (St. Mirren)
After a slow start, the Buddies ended up making light work of their 3-1 win over Stenhousemuir, with all three goals coming in the second half. Erhahon kept things ticking over in the middle of the park and impressed with his energy and composure.
MID – Luke McCowan (Dundee)
McCowan has made a great start to his time at Dundee. The winger’s pace, direct running and attacking prowess have quickly made him a bit of a fans' favourite. He notched his first goal for the club in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Montrose.
FWD – Brian Graham (Partick Thistle)
In Brian Graham, Partick Thistle have a talismanic forward who not only works his socks off, but also provides a focal point to link play as well as score goals. Two from the striker were enough to see off Dumbarton on Tuesday.
FWD – Nathan Austin (Kelty Hearts)
Another day, another double! Kelty Hearts have looked very impressive in their opening Premier Sports Cup fixtures. They defeated fellow League 2 side Elgin City 3-1 on Tuesday night, with frontman Austin grabbing the headlines with a pair of late goals to seal the victory. He is the Matchday 4 Star Man!
