Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “The introduction of play-offs between clubs in the top two tiers of Scottish football is a truly exciting development and one which there was a huge appetite for from clubs, fans and within the SPFL itself. The announcement of the Play-off fixture dates only heightens that excitement.
“These matches will help ensure the second half of the season, in both divisions, provides a huge level of competition, entertainment and drama for the fans of those clubs involved and for Scottish football as a whole.
“Although nothing has been agreed, there has already been broadcaster interest in screening a number of the play-off games, demonstrating the appeal of the format and its potential to help raise the profile of our game.”
The play-off schedule for matches between clubs in League 2 and League 1 and between League 1 and the Championship have been announced previously and remain unchanged.
