Dumbarton striker Bryan Prunty will miss out on a return to Pittodrie this weekend as he has not recovered from a minor leg operation.
The 30-year-old spent eight months as a Dons player a decade ago and is best remembered for scoring when a young Aberdeen side ended Celtic’s 77-game unbeaten home run.
Sons boss Ian Murray said: “I am sure Bryan would have enjoyed going back to Aberdeen but he had surgery a couple of weeks ago and will not be ready.
“Mitch Megginson is another former Aberdeen player in our side and he cannot wait to return.”
