The Northern Ireland internationalist had been with Stirling Albion since February 2017 but left Forthbank in the summer.
Sons boss Stevie Aitken told the club website: “Andy is best known as a striker but is able to play competently in several positions and will be an asset to us. We'll review how things are going in January and hopefully they'll be positive enough to see him stay longer."
