Dumbarton manager Ian Murray has praised his players for being the first Championship side to hit 50 goals this season.
The promotion-seeking Sons passed that landmark on Saturday when they defeated Cowdenbeath 5-1 and Murray said: “It is another achievement that this squad of players should be proud of.
“We like to play attacking football and to be the first side to hit 50 goals confirms that. It is even better when you consider that we are a part-time side playing predominantly against full-time teams.
“It does, however, tell just one side of the story as we have only a goal difference of plus two so there is still work to be done.”
