Queen’s Park are to become the first Scottish club to have their home and away strips supplied by Under Armour, the same company that kit out Gareth Bale at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Hampden club are switching suppliers of their black and white hooped shirt and have agreed a deal with the American company that will see break new ground for the suppliers in Scotland.
The Spiders’ new away strip is however more Red Cola than IRN-BRU after the club opted to ditch the blue and orange colours of their sponsor.
The only amateur side in senior football in the UK have worn the blue and orange colours of IRN-BRU on their travels for over 10 years, however they will now wear an all red with a black trim kit.
Their well-established home black and white hooped top remains as does the sponsorship from Scotland’s other National Drink that Queen’s have enjoyed since 1997 with a club spokesperson saying: “We are delighted to again be back as a club by IRN-BRU and also welcome Under-Armour to the Queen’s Park family. We have opted for Red next season but of course the ‘Original and Best’ logo that we share with IRN-BRU remains.”
