Raith go to the Moon

Kirkcaldy side sign up midfielder

Raith Rovers have raided First Division new boys Alloa Athletic to capture midfielder Kevin Moon from them.

The 25-year-old had been with St. Johnstone since he was 16 until he left in January to join the Wasps and he played 15 times as Paul Hartley’s side won promotion through the Play-Offs.

Moon scored vital goals against both Brechin City and Dunfermline in the end of season scramble, however he has now opted for a one year deal at Stark’s Park with Raith boss Grant Murray saying: “I am delighted that Kevin is our first new face for next season. He picked up a lot of experience at St. Johnstone and did really well for Alloa in the Play-Offs and I am sure everyone connected with Raith are pleased that he is here next season.”
