Rangers close the gap

Rangers moved to within three points of William Hill Premiership leaders Heart of Midlothian thanks to a 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox tonight.

Killie had Dom Thompson sent off in the opening minutes and Danny Rohl's men took full advantage with goals from James Tavernier (penalty), Bojan Miovski, Andreas Skov Olsen, Oliver Antman and Mikey Moore.

Fifth-placed Hibernian earned a dramatic 3-2 victory against Dundee United at Easter Road, with new signing Ante Suto scoring a stoppage-time winner after United had led 2-1 late on.

Falkirk are now eight points clear in sixth place following a 2-1 success against bottom club Livingston in West Lothian.

Aberdeen v Celtic and Dundee v Motherwell were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
