Rangers closed the gap on Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders Celtic to a single point with a convincing 4-0 win over Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
Captain Steven Davis struck twice, with Sone Aluko and David Healy also on target. Hibs finished the game with 10 men after new signing James McPake saw red in 71 minutes.
Motherwell are six points clear of St Johnstone in third place thanks to a 3-2 win over the Perth men at Fir Park. Henrik Ojamaa bagged a double and Keith Lasley also scored for the Steelmen. Jody Morris and Francisco Sandaza (penalty) replied for the visitors.
Aberdeen are into the top six following a 1-0 home victory over bottom club Dunfermline. Scott Vernon netted the only goal after 24 minutes for Craig Brown's team.
Inverness CT notched up their third clean sheet on the trot but stay a point behind St Mirren after a 0-0 draw between the teams at the Caledonian Stadium.
