Russell Martin made a winning start to his Rangers reign after a 2-0 home win over Panathinaikos in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second round qualifier.
Findlay Curtis opened the scoring for the Light Blues with a strike from distance before new signing Djeidi Gassama extended Rangers' advantage.
The second leg will take place in Athens next week.
Rangers could face FC Viktoria Plzeň or Servette FC in the next round of qualifying.
