Rangers beat Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise 2-1 at Ibrox in matchday eight of the Europa League to finish in eighth place in the league phase.
Nicolas Raskin and Vaclav Cerny got the goals for Rangers and they held on after Kevin Mac Allister pulled one back with seven minutes left.
Philippe Clement's team were already assured of at least a play-off place but now go directly to the last 16 and will face one of Bodo/Glimt, Anderlecht, FC Twente or Fenerbahce.
Last-16 ties are due to be played on Thursdays March 6 & March 13.
