Alfredo Morelos scored both goals as Rangers beat Sparta Prague 2-0 at Ibrox to secure second place in Europa League Group A.
It was a winning start for new manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst, whose side will now take part in the Europa League play-offs in February.
In Group G, Celtic were beaten 3-2 by Leverkusen in Germany after leading 2-1 late on thanks to goals from Josip Juranovic and Jota.
Ange Postecoglou's team will play in the Europa Conference League play-off round as they are guaranteed to finish in third place.
