Hamilton Academical have appointed John Rankin as their new manager following the recent departure of Stuart Taylor from New Douglas Park.
The former Hibernian and Dundee United midfielder had been first-team coach at the cinch Championship club since December and now steps up to the top job.
He told the club website: "I am privileged to sit here as the club’s new head coach. Speaking with Allan (Maitland) and the board, I believe that our vision for this football club is very much aligned. I am looking forward to getting the new season under way."
