John Rankin has quit as manager of Hamilton Accies.
The manager made the call following his team's 4-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Airdrieonians.
Rankin had been in charge of the William Hill League 1 side for almost three years, having been appointed in December 2022.
Accies sit in fifth place in the league with 21 points from their opening 15 games.
The club were subject to a six-point deduction in the league this season after being found to have breached multiple SPFL Rules by an independent SPFL disciplinary tribunal.
