Reid sure goals will come for Imrie

Accies' striker will find the net soon

Douglas ImrieHamilton manager Billy Reid has told goal shy striker Dougie Imrie to keep doing what he is doing and the goals will come. The former Clyde and Inverness Caledonian Thistle frontman, who has yet to break his duck for the season, went close on three occasions against Livingston in their Ramsdens Cup semi-final success last Sunday however, he could not find a way past Andy McNeil in the Lions’ goal.

Reid said, “As a team we need to start scoring more goals from open play. We netted from a set-piece against Livingston and Dougie helped create that one, just like he has created loads of goals this season.

“He also created chances for himself with his ability to go past people but the ball just would not go in for him. He is frustrated as he has worked hard to make himself these chances but with a wee bit of luck he will be fine.”

The New Douglas Park boss added, “Dougie has quality and a strong work ethic and things will fall into place for him.”
