Ayr United striker Michael Moffat has scored five goals in his last three games – but boss Mark Roberts claims he has been off-form in training.
He said: “I am delighted Michael is doing so well in games, as he has been dreadful in training! Honestly, you would not think it was the same player as I don’t think he has scored in training for weeks.
“It is no surprise we have improved since he came back into the team but it would be good to see him play like he can during the week as well.”
