Respect for defender to be shown at Stirling Albion v Raith Rovers game

Ronnie CoyleRonnie Coyle in action for Raith Rovers 1993/94A minute silence will be observed at tomorrow’s First Division match between Stirling Albion and Raith Rovers at the Doubletree Dunblane Stadium to honour former Kirkcaldy player Ronnie Coyle.

The defender passed away on Tuesday after losing his fight against leukaemia with Rovers’ General Manager Bob Mullen adding,   We requested permission from the Scottish League Management Committee to hold a minutes silence prior to the match following discussions with Steven Leiper of Stirling Albion who had kindly agreed to assist us in honouring Ronnie’s memory.”

“We have received a reply from SFL operations and events manager Anton Fagan who said they were sorry to hear such sad news and that the SFL had no objections to a minutes silence being held for Ronnie.”
