Raith Rovers have announced that their former player Ronnie Coyle faces a second battle against leukaemia as the bone marrow donor cells he received previously have rejected and the cancer has returned.
Coyle starts a 4 week spell in hospital today where he will undergo radiotherapy, whilst a hunt for a suitable bone marrow continues.
A Kirkcaldy spokesperson said, “While understandably downhearted Ronnie is never the less positive that there will be a successful outcome. We are sure that everyone will join us in wishing him all the very best for a speedy recovery.”
