Rovers offer deal to Pollock

Albion Rovers have offered a deal to former Motherwell, Clyde and East Fife midfielder Jamie Pollock and he could be signed in time to face Rangers in the Scottish Cup next weekend.

The 21-year-old had a three-game trial at Airdrie recently but an ankle injury prevented him getting a deal at the Diamonds and he was given the chance to impress Coatbridge manager James Ward.

Ward said: “Jamie drifted out of senior football but he is now keen to get back into it. He has done well with us and we have offered him something until the end of the season - hopefully he will say yes.”
