The former Stirling Albion and Arbroath boss took over from Brian Kerr in the summer following Rovers' relegation to Ladbrokes League 2.
However, the 64-year-old has now left the Coatbridge club in the wake of the 2-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Formartine and with the team bottom of the table.
