A round-up of Saturday's SPFL matches

There were only two matches in the Ladbrokes Premiership today due to Sunday's Betfred Cup semi-finals. Kilmarnock and Hamilton Accies drew 1-1 at Rugby Park and St Johnstone defeated St Mirren 2-0 at McDiarmid Park.

Billy Mckay hit a hat-trick as Ladbrokes Championship leaders Ross County thrashed Morton 5-0 in Dingwall while second-placed Ayr United defeated Partick Thistle 1-0 in Glasgow. Dundee United were 2-0 winners against Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park and Queen of the South beat bottom club Falkirk by the same score at Palmerston. Alloa Athletic and Inverness CT drew 0-0 at the Indodrill Stadium.

Arbroath have increased their lead at the top of Ladbrokes League 1 to seven points thanks to a 1-0 win at Stranraer while closest challengers Raith Rovers lost 3-2 away to Forfar Athletic, who move into the play-off places. Dumbarton thumped in-form East Fife 4-0 in Jim Duffy's first game in charge, Stenhousemuir beat Airdrieonians 1-0 at the Penny Cars Stadium and Montrose defeated Brechin City 3-1 at Glebe Park.

Edinburgh City beat Stirling Albion 1-0 at Forthbank to make it 12 wins in a row in all competitions and stay two points clear in Ladbrokes League 2. Second-placed Peterhead saw off Clyde 3-1 at Broadwood while Annan Athletic beat Elgin City 1-0 at Borough Briggs. Queen's Park were 3-0 winners away to bottom club Albion Rovers and Berwick Rangers had three players sent off as they went down 3-0 at home to Cowdenbeath.
