Round-up of today's games in the Championship, League 1 & League 2

Ayr United missed the chance to go top of the Ladbrokes Championship after losing 1-0 to Falkirk at Somerset Park. A Zak Rudden goal lifted Ray McKinnon's men off the foot of the table at the expense of Partick Thistle, who drew 1-1 with third-placed Dundee United at Tannadice.

Queen of the South leapfrogged Inverness CT with a 2-1 win in the Highland capital to move to within a point of the play-offs. Scott Mercer and Stephen Dobbie scored late on after Tom Walsh had given Caley Thistle the lead. Alan Trouten grabbed a double as Alloa Athletic hit back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.

Arbroath remain 11 points clear in Ladbrokes League 1 after Ryan McCord's late goal saw off struggling Brechin City 1-0 at Gayfield while closest challengers Raith Rovers thumped bottom club Stenhousemuir 5-1 at Stark's Park. Third-placed East Fife lost 2-1 at home to Airdrieonians and Forfar Athletic stay fourth after winning 3-2 at Dumbarton. Martin Rennie's double earned Montrose a 2-1 success against Stranraer at Stair Park.

Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Edinburgh City went down 1-0 to Stirling Albion at Ainslie Park but Peterhead failed to take advantage as they were beaten 2-1 by Clyde at Balmoor, with the Bully Wee now just five points off the pace after scoring twice in the closing minutes. Fourth-placed Annan Athletic were 2-0 winners against Elgin City at Galabank and Cowdenbeath defeated Berwick Rangers 2-0 at Central Park. It finished 2-2 between Queen's Park and bottom club Albion Rovers at Hampden.
