Heart of Midlothian moved to the top of the cinch Premiership with a 2-0 win over Motherwell at Tynecastle thanks to goals from Liam Boyce (penalty) and Stephen Kingsley. Dundee United defeated Ross County 1-0 at Tannadice and St Johnstone saw off Dundee 3-1 at McDiarmid Park. St Mirren edged out Livingston 1-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena. There are two big games on Sunday - Aberdeen face Celtic at Pittodrie, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon, and Rangers take on Hibernian at Ibrox, kick-off 3.00pm

In the cinch Championship, leaders Inverness CT were beaten 2-1 by Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park and second-placed Kilmarnock went down 3-1 at home to Raith Rovers. Partick Thistle thumped Ayr United 4-0 at Firhill and Queen of the South beat bottom club Dunfermline Athletic 1-0 at Palmerston. Morton and Arbroath drew 2-2 at Cappielow.

Cove Rangers are the new leaders in cinch League 1 after Rory McAllister's hat-trick earned them a 3-1 win away to Alloa Athletic. Peterhead thrashed Dumbarton 5-0 at Balmoor while Airdrieonians defeated Clyde 2-1 at the Penny Cars Stadium. Falkirk came from behind to beat bottom club East Fife 2-1. Unbeaten Queen's Park play Montrose at Firhill on Sunday.

Kelty Hearts remain four points clear in cinch League 2 following their 2-1 win over Annan Athletic at New Central Park. Closest challengers Stirling Albion defeated Elgin City 2-0 at Borough Briggs and Stranraer beat Albion Rovers 1-0 at Stair Park. Stenhousemuir and Forfar Athletic drew 1-1 at Ochilview and it was also 1-1 between Edinburgh City and Cowdenbeath on Friday night.
