Motherwell are up to fifth place thanks to a 4-2 win victory against St Mirren at Fir Park. Dundee United are fourth following their 1-1 draw with Hibernian at Easter Road and Ross County drew 1-1 with Heart of Midlothian in Dingwall. Dundee and Aberdeen shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Kilmac Stadium. There are seven clubs separated by just four points going into the final round of fixtures before the split. Rangers host leaders Celtic on Sunday, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon.
In Saturday's only cinch Championship game, Arbroath closed the gap on leaders Kilmarnock to four points with a 0-0 draw at Partick Thistle.
Airdrieonians won 2-0 at bottom club East Fife to move to within two points of cinch League 1 leaders Cove Rangers, who face Queen’s Park at Firhill on Sunday. Third-placed Montrose were 3-0 winners at Falkirk and Peterhead defeated Clyde by the same score at Broadwood. Dumbarton edged out Alloa Athletic 3-2 in an incredible finish at the Indodrill Stadium, with all the goals coming in the last eight minutes.
Second-placed Annan Athletic won 1-0 at Stenhousemuir in cinch League 2 while Forfar Athletic, in third, triumphed 2-0 at Stranraer. It finished 0-0 between Albion Rovers and Elgin City in Coatbridge and it was also goalless at Central Park, where bottom club Cowdenbeath took on Stirling Albion.
