Second-placed Rangers beat St Mirren 4-0 at Ibrox and Hibernian are third following their 1-0 victory over Motherwell at Easter Road. Ross County beat Livingston 1-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena to move out of the relegation zone. Bottom club Dundee United earned their first Premiership win in emphatic fashion, beating Aberdeen 4-0 at Tannadice in the evening kick-off. Kilmarnock host Hearts on Sunday.

Dipo Akinyemi hit a hat-trick as Ayr United thumped Queen's Park 5-0 at Somerset Park to move level on points with cinch Championship leaders Partick Thistle, who lost at Inverness on Friday night. There was also a 5-0 win for Morton over Hamilton Accies at Cappielow. Raith Rovers defeated Cove Rangers 3-0 at Stark's Park and Dundee were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Arbroath at Gayfield.

FC Edinburgh remain two points clear at the summit of cinch League 1 after beating Kelty Hearts 2-0 at Meadowbank Stadium. Closest challengers Dunfermline Athletic saw off Alloa Athletic 3-0 at the Indodrill Stadium and Falkirk are third after winning 4-0 at bottom club Peterhead. Montrose ran out 3-1 winners against Clyde at New Douglas Park and it was 3-3 between Airdrieonians and Queen of the South at the Excelsior Stadium.

In-form Stirling Albion thrashed leaders Dumbarton 6-0 at Forthbank to close the gap at the top of cinch League 2 to two points. Third-placed Stenhousemuir were held to a 2-2 draw by Annan Athletic at Ochilview and East Fife are fourth thanks to a 3-1 success at Forfar Athletic, who are now bottom. Albion Rovers beat Bonnyrigg Rose 2-1 at Cliftonhill to move off the foot of the table and Elgin City leapfrogged Stranraer with a 3-2 win at Stair Park.
