Partick Thistle were knocked off top spot after losing 4-0 to Queen's Park at Firhill while Dundee and Morton drew 0-0 at Dens Park. Ayr United drew 2-2 with Cove Rangers at Somerset Park while Arbroath climbed off the bottom of the table at the expense of Hamilton Accies thanks to a 1-0 win over the Lanarkshire side at Gayfield.
Dunfermline Athletic’s lead at the top of cinch League 1 is down to a single point after they suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 2-0 at Montrose. FC Edinburgh are just a point off the pace following a 3-1 victory against Airdrieonians at Meadowbank Stadium while Falkirk went down 3-2 at home to Kelty Hearts. Alloa Athletic won 2-0 at bottom club Peterhead and Queen of the South defeated Clyde 2-1 at New Douglas Park.
