Round-up of today's games in the SPFL...

Rangers saw off Kilmarnock 3-1 at Ibrox to close the gap on cinch Premiership leaders Celtic - who face St Mirren tomorrow - to six points. Third-placed Hearts defeated St Johnstone 3-0 at Tynecastle and Hibernian, who are fourth, ran out 4-1 winners away to Livingston. Motherwell moved further away from the relegation zone thanks to a 2-0 win over Ross County in Dingwall. Aberdeen beat bottom club Dundee United 3-1 at Tannadice in the evening kick-off to climb to fifth in the table.

Dundee closed the gap on cinch Championship leaders Queen's Park to two points thanks to a 2-0 win away to Cove Rangers while the Spiders were pegged back by Morton in a 2-2 draw at Ochilview. Third-placed Partick Thistle continued their good run with a 3-0 win against Raith Rovers at Firhill. Ayr United dropped out of the top four after losing 2-1 to Inverness CT at Somerset Park.

Dunfermline Athletic remain five points clear in cinch League 1 after beating Alloa Athletic 2-0 at East End Park while second-placed Falkirk thrashed Peterhead 5-0, with all the goals coming in the second half. FC Edinburgh are third following their 2-1 victory over Kelty Hearts at New Central Park. Montrose beat Clyde 2-0 at Links Park and Queen of the South defeated Airdrieonians 3-2 at Palmerston.

Dumbarton beat Stranraer 2-0 at Stair Park to stay five points clear in cinch League 2 while closest challengers Stirling Albion edged out Albion Rovers 3-2 at Forthbank. Stenhousemuir leapfrogged Annan Athletic into third place with a 3-2 win at Galabank. East Fife moved above Forfar Athletic after beating the Loons 3-2 at Bayview and bottom club Bonnyrigg Rose won 1-0 away to Elgin City.
