Second-placed St Mirren drew 1-1 at Kilmarnock while Rangers went down 3-1 to Aberdeen at Ibrox. Heart of Midlothian are up to fourth place following a 1-0 victory over Ross County in Dingwall. It was 0-0 between Hibernian and Dundee at Easter Road while bottom club St Johnstone drew 1-1 with Livingston at McDiarmid Park.

Dundee United stay top of the cinch Championship thanks to a 4-1 win over Queen's Park at Tannadice, with Raith Rovers just a point behind after beating Ayr United 2-1 at Somerset Park. Partick Thistle are third following their 3-0 defeat of Dunfermline Athletic at Firhill. Greenock Morton slipped to the foot of the table after losing 1-0 at home to Airdrieonians while Inverness CT - with new manager Duncan Ferguson at the helm - won 3-2 at Arbroath.

Falkirk returned to the summit of cinch League 1 thanks to a 3-2 home win over third-placed Montrose after title rivals Hamilton Accies beat Annan Athletic 5-0 on Friday night. Kelty Hearts leapfrogged Queen of the South with a 3-1 win at New Central Park while Stirling Albion and Cove Rangers drew 2-2 at Forthbank. Alloa Athletic were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Edinburgh City at the Indodrill Stadium.

Peterhead are the new leaders in cinch League 2 after thrashing bottom club Elgin City 6-0 at Balmoor while Stenhousemuir were held to a 2-2 draw by Clyde at Ochilview.
