Falkirk caused an upset by beating Dundee United 2-0 at the Falkirk Stadium while Stenhousemuir saw off Highland League side Buckie Thistle 4-0 at Ochilview.
Group C
Dylan Vente scored a hat-trick as Hibernian thrashed Elgin City 5-0 at Borough Briggs and it was also 5-0 for Queen's Park against Peterhead at Balmoor.
Group D
Curtis Main hit a hat-trick as Dundee thumped Bonnyrigg Rose 7-1 at New Dundas Park while Annan Athletic beat Inverness CT 1-0 at Galabank.
Group E
Matchday one produced a pair of away wins - Livingston triumphed 2-0 at Forfar Athletic and Dunfermline Athletic beat Spartans 3-0 at Ainslie Park.
Group F
East Fife upset the odds by beating Greenock Morton 3-0 at Bayview while St Johnstone defeated Highland League side Brechin City 2-1 at Glebe Park.
Group G
Motherwell kicked off with a 3-0 win against Edinburgh City at Fir Park and Partick Thistle beat Montrose 3-2 at Firhill.
Group H
Raith Rovers saw off Stirling Albion 3-0 at Forthbank thanks to an Aidan Connolly hat-trick and Ross County were 3-1 winners at Stranraer.
