Promoted Stenhousemuir defeated Arbroath 2-1 at Ochilview and were the only other winners today. Inverness CT were held to a 1-1 draw by Dumbarton in the Highlands and it was also 1-1 between Montrose and Kelty Hearts at Links Park. Alloa Athletic and Queen of the South drew 0-0 at the Indodrill Stadium.
Elgin City are top of William Hill League 2 after kicking off with a 4-2 win over East Fife at Borough Briggs. Stirling Albion hit back to beat Edinburgh City 2-1 at Meadowbank Stadium and Peterhead won 1-0 at Bonnyrigg Rose. Stranraer and Spartans drew 2-2 at Stair Park while it finished 0-0 between Forfar Athletic and Clyde at Station Park.
