Hibernian strengthened their grip on third place in the William Hill Premiership with a 3-1 home win over Dundee United while Aberdeen lost 1-0 away to St Mirren. They beat Stranraer 1-0 at Stair Park but Forfar Athletic survived on goal difference thanks to a 0-0 draw with Stirling Albion at Station Park. Clyde thrashed champions Peterhead 6-1 at New Douglas Park while runners-up East Fife defeated Elgin City 2-0 at Bayview. Spartans beat Edinburgh City 3-1 at Ainslie Park.
