Peterhead have been rocked by the news that defender Callum MacDonald has to go for a second operation to fix the knee injury that has kept him out for nearly a year.
The 30-year-old former Dundee player was operated on in January but he broke down during pre-season and further tests have shown that a second operation is required.
Balmoor manager Jim McInally said: “It is really disappointing news for Callum and for us. He had hoped to be back playing by now so to face another lengthy spell out is a real blow.”
