Arbroath player/manager Paul Sheerin has started rebuilding his squad following relegation to League 2, with skipper Ross Chisholm heading the list of players leaving.
Chisholm has been released at the end of his second spell and joins Jonathan Lindsay and Lari Yao in not being offered terms for next season. Experienced centre-back Alex Keddie is also leaving after he secured employment offshore.
Ricky Little, David Banjo, Paul McManus and Kenny Deuchar have all been offered terms for next season, with Sheerin also re-signing himself as a player for the season that will take him past his 40th birthday.
He said: “It is not part of the job that is enjoyable but it has to be done. Our preparations for next season start now as we cannot sit around and feel sorry for ourselves.
“Ross was our captain and part of the squad that won promotion and it is disappointing to lose him but I am looking to build a team that will get more goals from midfield.”
