Montrose have parted company with manager George Shields in the wake of Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to East Fife.
The Gable Endies have slipped to ninth place in League 2 following a poor run of results, despite making a good start to the season.
Shields, who replaced Stuart Garden as Links Park boss in April of last year, brought in a number of new players during January but has now opted to move on.
He said: “I had talks with the board after the East Fife game and decided to resign my position.”
