Show Racism the Red Card today launched their new educational film tackling racism.
The fast moving and engaging 20-minute film features interviews with many top footballers including Barry Ferguson, Stephen McManus, Robbie Neilson, Julie Fleeting, Thierry Henry, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand alongside Gordon Smith, Craig Levein, Stuart Cosgrove and Tam Cowan.
Billy Singh, Scottish Campaign Manager of Show Racism the Red Card said: "Our campaign relies heavily on the role model status of footballers to spread the anti-racist message.
"Once again many of Scotland’s top footballers have supported us by taking part in this film. But just as important as the footballers are the views of young people who have experienced racism and their thoughts on how we can combat it.
"The film is suitable for schools, community & youth organisations and provides an opportunity to have an open and honest discussion on racism.
"The accompanying education pack provides a wealth of activities to use around the film, including discussion points and thought provoking articles.
"Our aim is to have this film in every school in Scotland and utilise our team of former professional footballers to deliver anti-racist workshops. The workshops can be used as a catalyst to talk sensitively and effectively about racism."
SPL Executive Chairman Lex Gold attended, along the likes of Madjid Bougherra, Robbie Neilson, Simon Ford, George Burley, Gordon Smith, David Longmuir, Tony Higgins and Fraser Wishart.
