Ayr United’s goal scoring midfielder David Sinclair is set to face Stranraer at Somerset Park tomorrow after missing out for the past month because of an ankle injury.
The 22-year-old, who has found the net 6 times so far this season, will feature if he comes through a full training session last night with no adverse reaction.
Sinclair could be joined in the Ayr squad by youngsters Mark Shankland and Ross Robertson who both scored hat-tricks as the Honest Men’s reserves defeated East fife 8-1 earlier this week with Shankland’s treble all coming from free kicks.
Manager Mark Roberts said, “David will only be involved if he is fully fit as I am still sore from our 2-0 defeat at Stair Park in September, which was our worst performance of the season. A win would help ease some of that pain.”
