Sky Sports Victory Shield

Scotland v England rescheduled for next Thursday

Scotland Under 16Scotland’s under-16 side will try again to lift the Sky Sports Victory Shield for the first time in 12 years next Thursday, December 16, when they take on England at Morecombe’s Globe Arena, with the game kicking off at 7.35pm.

The original tie was postponed due to a frozen pitch last Thursday and all being well Ross Mathie’s side will go into the re-arranged game knowing exactly what they need to do to win the trophy outright.

The Auld Enemy are scheduled to play Northern Ireland tomorrow night and a draw in that game would leave the young Scots just needing a point to triumph whereas an England triumph would set up a winner take all encounter. A Northern Ireland victory would leave Scotland requiring to beat England to lift the Shield.
