Alloa boss Barry Smith always knew striker Liam Buchanan would come good following his summer move, despite a slow start at the Indodrill Stadium.
The 29-year-old bagged the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday to make it seven goals in an eight-game spell.
Smith said: “Some people raised an eyebrow when I brought Liam here, as he was part of an East Fife side that were relegated last season.
“I knew what I was getting as he is a really hard-working player - despite only scoring twice in our first 11 games I knew that goals would come.
“He was getting into good positions and I knew that he would start finding the net and now he is. He is in good goalscoring form and long may that continue.”
