Dumbarton hope they can bring defender Aaron Barry back to the club from Sheffield United for a second loan spell, just a fortnight after being told he would not be returning to Scotland.
Sons boss Ian Murray received news last week that there may have been a change of heart at Bramall Lane and that Barry could now be available.
The Bet Butler Stadium manager said: “I had a conversation last week which gave me hope that Aaron could play for us again. I will keep working on it and hopefully we will see Aaron again.”
